Do I need to take TurmiPure Gold® with a high-fat meal?

Unlike other turmeric curcumin extracts which are fat soluble and should be consumed with a fatty meal to increase absorption, TurmiPure Gold® instantly disperses in water and is already highly bioavailable as-is, so you can take it whenever and wherever it is convenient for you. This is especially great for busy people or those on restrictive diets.

As with all supplements, it's important to stick to a consistent daily routine. Therefore, we recommend picking a time you'll easily remember, such as taking a capsule when you wake up or right before bed.

Since curcumin has naturally low absorption, doesn't it require black pepper?

It's true that common turmeric powder only contains 2-3% curcumin typically and is considered to have low bio-availability. This form of turmeric is typically measured in teaspoons and added to meals or smoothies.

Some formulas greatly enhance absorption by adding highly-concentrated, standardized to 95%, curcuminoid extract and BioPerine (a patented black pepper extract). An example of this is BioEmblem's own best-selling Turmeric Curcumin product, which has a serving size of 1965mg split into 3 capsules. However, some consumers are sensitive to black pepper or don't want to take multiple large pills.
